Biography

Gypsy Eyes was formed in spring 1999 by bass player Larissa Raudas and guitarist/vocalist Tomi Christiansson. Over the years there has been changes in the line-up, and in recording situation the band has been a five-piece (maybe even six considering the amount of work and even some playing done by engineer Jyri Salmi) but basically it’s a trio with Reijo Juntunen on drums since 2002.
Up to now there have been three albums .

About the music… the Gypsy Eyes songs are composed and written by Tomi Christiansson. Being a record collector he draws influences from all kinds of sounds
that happen to spin on his turntable. Still, these are only something he builds upon-Gypsy Eyes sounds like no other band.

In live situation Gypsy Eyes is very much an improvising band, not afraid of taking risks in their playing. At best this means really exiting and on the edge playing, sometimes something not quite so hot. Anyway they`re well worth checking out in concert, if you happen to have the chance.
